Ming Chi University of Technology, Department of Electrical Engineering – Faculty Position Opening (Full-time or Project-based)

1. Number of Openings: 2-3 positions (Full-time or Project-based, Assistant Professor or higher)

2. Start Date: February 1, 2025

3. Qualifications:

1. Hold a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field from a domestic or international university recognized by the Ministry of Education.
2. In accordance with Ministry of Education regulations, applicants must have at least one cumulative year of practical work experience (full-time or part-time). (Eligible experience includes: postdoctoral research, industry employment, execution of industry-academia collaboration projects, research/service at public or private institutions, etc.).
3. Specialization: Expertise in power systems, 5G communications, intelligent control, and related AI applications.
4. Ability to teach courses in English.
5. Ability to publish papers in SCI/SSCI journals.
6. Ability to conduct industry-academia collaboration projects.

4. Required Documents: (Please label the following documents in order and bind them into a single volume)

1. Curriculum Vitae (CV), including mailing address, contact phone number, email address, a recent photograph, research specializations, and a list of publications.
2. A copy of the Ph.D. diploma. (For degrees obtained overseas, a copy authenticated by a Taiwan Overseas Representative Office is required.)
3. A copy of an Assistant Professor (or higher) qualification certificate. (Not required if not applicable.)
4. Autobiography, including a summary of research achievements, future research plans, and relevant supporting documents.
5. Transcripts for both undergraduate and graduate studies.
6. Other supporting documents (e.g., proof of industry experience, national examination certificates, professional licenses, patents, awards, etc.).
7. The terms of notification and consent form for the collection of personal data (to be downloaded by the applicant).

5. Benefits:

1. The university provides a research start-up fund of up to NT$1,200,000 (NT$1,000,000 for equipment and NT$200,000 for consumables or personnel costs).
2. The basic teaching load for new faculty members is reduced to 6 hours per week.
3. On-campus housing for singles or families is available for application.
4. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
